hotel showers are a fucking rubix cube

An Aussie artist has cracked the code to what he describes as “the most f—ed” hotel bathroom feature, a hack which could save travelers embarrassment if they are heading to Europe in the future.

British-Australian singer-songwriter Ruel took to TikTok to share the moment he made the discovery, with his 200,000 followers.

“I’ve spent quite a lot of time in hotels over the past few years and each time figuring out the shower in every hotel is like its own little riddle because they all work very differently,” he said while appearing like he had just come out of the shower, with wet hair.

“I think I’ve come across the most f—ed.”

The 19-year-old then walked viewers through the set up of the bathroom, the bathtub and shower in the hotel, which is believed to be in Italy, as the singer attended the Boss show at Milan Fashion Week.

“So this looks pretty normal, normal knob, it turns on the bath,” the star said as he proceeded to turn on the bath via the overhanging tap and then look to adjust the water to the shower head.

“I was like okay it’s probably this little switch (that turns on the shower),” the Painkiller singer said while pulling on a separate switch near the bath tap.

“No, it’s the plug.”

This perplexed the artist as he continued to demonstrate the process he went through prior, locating the shower switch, saying “where could it be?”

Just when the singer thought all hope was lost, he accidentally came across a section of the bath he had not yet tried to adjust.

“I was this close to going down to reception asking like a child how to work the shower or if it was broken,” Ruel said.

“I don’t know how I managed to figure this out.”

“It’s this,” he said while pulling up a stainless steel cap which was placed on top of the bathroom tap, almost camouflaged and attached.

The water flow then switched from the bath tap to the shower head leaving the songwriter ‘dazed and confused’.

“Low-key very impressed with myself” he said.

“Hotel showers are a f—ing rubix cube.”

The musician has currently being touring around the world performing in countries including England, America and Germany.

The singer released his latest single You Against Yourself in August, which has already received almost 4 million streams on Spotify in just under two months.

The Australian heart throb is best known for his hit Dazed and Confused, which has banked over 200 million streams.
