Buffalo, New York (WKBW) — With the early morning showers giving way to sunlight and temperature in the 50s, strong winds continue to end the week. Since the wind is from the southwest, Buffalo may have a brief lake shower in the afternoon. This weekend will see that the air is cool enough for the lake effect machine to start when it rains first, and then switch to snow from Friday night to Monday. There will be a small amount of snow on the mountains south of Buffalo this weekend, and S.Tier snow will be more. Most hills from Sunday night to Tuesday morning.

Friday morning: Sctd. Showers, close to 50. Afternoon: Partly sunny, breezy, mid-1950s.

Saturday morning: cool, with showers, more than 40 degrees. Afternoon: rain and snow, more than 40 degrees lower.

Sunday morning: rain and snow, more than 30 years old. Afternoon: rain and snow, close to 40 degrees.

Monday morning: rain and snow, more than 30 degrees lower. Afternoon: rain and snow, close to 40 degrees.
