No one can resist singing a good song from their favorite musical. Whether it is the repetitive sounds on TikTok or the repetitive sounds in classic shows; yes, I have to admit that I was a drama kid in high school. I am not on the stage, but I manage and manage the stage crew on the stage. I come from a small school, so we have a smaller team, which usually requires double positions. I didn't change quickly, but dived in search of thrown props and pulled the curtains like everyone else.

Even though I was in the background, I heard a lot of performance tunes. My two-and-a-half-hour Spotify playlist can prove this point. Some are great for singing. Here are some of my favorites. Remember, there is more!

My first one is from "Pippin", which is the original actor version of Broadway in 1972, the song "Simple Joys". It has a trendy groove, just want you to adapt to it. There are so many memorable lyrics, and there is a good message behind it. There are many of my favorites in "Pippin", but this must be my favorite. "Magic to Do" followed closely behind.

My next one is from Andrew Lloyd Weber. It is "Any Dream Can/Give Me My Colored Jacket" in "Joseph and the Magical Colored Dream Coat". This musical is sometimes underrated, but it can easily become one of my favorites. It was soft and soothing at first, but then it exploded in the sound. This song really links the whole show together in one song. "Close Every Door" is another good song in this soundtrack.

The next musical is a bit new. Hadestown's favorite is "Livin' it Up on Top". You can’t go wrong with any songs on this track. If you like mythology, this is the musical for you. The rhythm of this song is very good, very suitable for reading aloud. Instrumental rest is great for breaking up an action.

Another great song is "Raise You Up/Just Be" from "Kinky Boots". If you need a hype song, this is where you need to go. It's all about being yourself and supporting the people around you. There is such a good message behind this song, plus a great beat that is easy to sing with!

Who can forget the "Musical Six"? There are many songs that can promote women's empowerment. One of my favorites is "Don't lose your mind". It is so attractive and will make the beheading sound better than it actually is. The historical background is also very interesting to learn and associate songs.

There will be a musical for you to enjoy. It may only require a little search for your favorite. Have fun looking for new music and sing your heart’s voice!
