New images show how luxury flats on one of Merseyside’s most expensive roads will look.

Proposals for 16 new flats on Carnatic Road in Mossley Hill were approved by Liverpool Council last year. The road has some of the most upmarket housing in the city, with the average home sold there in 2020 costing £1.6m.

The new homes, within the Briarwood Gardens development, will be on the site of the Briarwood manor house which was demolished last year. There have been plans to knock down the home and build new houses there since 2016 but altered plans for these flats were finally approved last year.

The block consists only of two bedroom apartments, with each covering around 1,000sq ft. They will range in price from £370,000 to £485,000. Tribus, the company behind the flats, has commissioned Phi Interiors to design the apartments, which are set to be completed later this year.

Those designs, which have been shared with the ECHO, show how the bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens and living rooms of the apartments could look.

A description of one of the apartments currently for sale said: “Entering this apartment, you greeted by the hallway which provides access to all rooms within the apartment via veneer doors. Within the hallway is a storage cupboard, the video intercom system and LVT flooring.

“To the end of the hallway the extremely generously sized lounge/kitchen/diner. This room contains an abundance of natural light provided via the large window and the French doors leading to the Juliet balcony. The lounge area contains LVT flooring up to the kitchen area where it is replaced with porcelain tiles.”

It goes on to describe the kitchen, with its multiple appliances and a quartz worktop and splashback.

The description continues: “Into the master bedroom, this stunningly spacious room contains French doors to the Juliet balcony, luxury carpet and benefits from an en-suite shower room and fitted wardrobes.

“The en-suite is fully porcelain tiled and complemented by the double walk-in shower with rainfall shower unit, concealed w/c and wall hung basin in a vanity unit.

“Bedroom two, like the master bedroom, is spacious and bright with a rear aspect window overlooking the rear gardens and fitted wardrobes. The bathroom exquisitely designed, and every aspect of the room has been thoroughly devised.

“Fully tiled with porcelain tiles the room comprises of a back to wall square bathtub, wall hung basin in vanity unit with accompanying anti-mist vanity mirror and w/c.”

Viewings of the flats are currently on an appointment-only basis as construction on the wider site continues.
