Bring your own fireworks into the night sky in November.

The northern Taurus meteor will be active throughout the week, but will reach its peak from the evening of Thursday, November 11 to the early morning of Friday, November 12. Showers will bring 10-15 meteors per hour.

Northern Taurus appears after Southern Taurus, which peaked last week. According to Space.com, the two meteors are usually yellow-orange in color compared to other meteors and "seem to move quite slowly."

The names of the two meteor showers come from their obvious origin-Taurus. Northern Taurus was created by Comet Encke, which orbits the sun approximately every 3.3 years.

For the best viewing opportunity, please go to a dark place away from light pollution (including your mobile phone) and allow your eyes to adapt to the darkness. Lie down and try to observe the sky as much as possible, scanning the darkness to find the next meteor.

Taurus is not the only meteor shower to appear this month. The Leo meteor shower will reach its peak from the evening of Wednesday, November 17 to the early morning of Thursday, November 18. The Leonid meteor shower can bring more than a dozen meteors per hour.

Meteor showers are not the only thing that allows people to watch the sky in November.

People in the eastern United States will have a chance to see a partial lunar eclipse later this month. The solar eclipse will occur before dawn on Friday, November 19, when the "beaver moon" will become full, which will occur before 3 a.m. Central Time in the United States.

According to Accuweather, this will be the first time a partial or total lunar eclipse will be visible in North America since January 20, 2019. During the upcoming lunar eclipse, 97% of the moon will pass through the dark inner shadow of the earth, only 100% of the total lunar eclipse required.

During a solar eclipse, the moon will appear rusty orange or red.
