Brynmore, Pennsylvania--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Pennsylvania Aqua reminds customers that its Helping Hand assistance program is for low-income families who find it difficult to pay water bills.

The Helping Hand plan is multi-faceted, providing customers with a payment plan to pay overdue and unpaid amounts, and ensure that their water will not be shut down; customers who pay on time have the opportunity to get a monthly credit line to pay overdue and unpaid amounts; and a Protection kits to help customers reduce usage and thus reduce their bills. The protection kit includes leak detection sheets, low-flow shower heads, low-flow aerators for kitchen faucets, etc.

Interested customers can call Aqua at 877.987.2782 to find out if they are eligible for the Helping Hand. Aqua will refer eligible customers to local agencies for application.
